2802_Chris_My favor game_Counter-Strike
Counter-Strike which we call CS is one of my favor games. The game was presented in 1999 by Valve Software company.
This is a first person shooter game which belong to Half-Life.
I remember that I was 5th grade when I touch this game at the first time. That I am love it completely.Obviously I was not good at it and always got kill. However with the love of this game I keep practices. Now I am still not the best but if somebody wants to kill me also not that easy.^-^
In CS you can choose to be the Terrorist Forces or the CT Forces. Then next screen is the player is in front of a shopping pattern: each new incoming players will receive a certain amount of money, you can use the money to buy their own hands the most known weapons. Of course, the type of weapon you can buy will be the party of your choice restrictions, such as the police are not carrying the "notorious" in the streets AK-47 assault rifles on duty. If you hand off, you can also buy some, such as helmets, body armor and the like armor.
There are three different ways in the game that it get the different task of each scene.
First scene is Hostage. In this task CT must to safe the hostage from the Terrorists. If you do not have to much patiences. I suggest you go to be the CT.
Scened scene is Bomb Plant.Terrorists laying a bomb,Counter commandos must be removed within the specified time bombs, terrorists of course, can not be idle - to do all means to "protect" their own bomb
I personally think that the third called "assassination" (Assassination) is the most playability: a counter-terrorism commandos to escort dignitaries (VIP) withdrawal of the safe arrival of a point, the terrorist mission is to "end "out of the poor Very ImportantPerson. As the game available to both sides of several sniper rifles, so the task is simply to become a "sniper war" where, at the same time, in order to reach the evacuation point to ensure the security, anti-terrorist commandos have carried out a thorough search of a room - - a fierce "near house combat" situation in the inevitable.
Because CS is so amazing that WCG make it as the official world-class e-sports events.
Let's see some good stuff.
2848_Kyle_Fav Game -----> DOTA
Defense of the Ancients (commonly known as DotA) is a custom scenario for the real-time strategy video game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
Some one may say, it's just a RPG map in Warcraft III. But in fact, Dota is not same as normal Warcraft. Warcraft III is the third title in the Warcraft series of real-time strategy games developed by Blizzard Entertainment. As with Warcraft II, Blizzard included a free "world editor" in the game that allows players to create custom scenarios or "maps" for the game, which can be played online with other players through Battle.net. These custom scenarios can be simple terrain changes, which play like normal Warcraft games, or they can be entirely new game scenarios with custom objectives, units, items, and events, like Defense of the Ancients.
Dota is not just a RTS game, it's fun because it has the elements of the RPG and MMO. Defense of the Ancients pits two teams of players against each other: the Sentinel and the Scourge. Players on the Sentinel team are based at the southwest corner of the map, and those on the Scourge team are based at the northeast corner. Each base is defended by towers and waves of units which guard the main paths leading to their base. In the center of each base is the "Ancient", a building that must be destroyed to win the game.
The Each human player controls one Hero, a powerful unit with unique abilities. In DotA, players on each side choose one of 101 heroes, each with different abilities and tactical advantages over other heroes. The scenario is highly team-oriented; it is difficult for one player to carry the team to victory alone.
It's normally 5v5 game, and each game lasts about 30-50 mins. Because the gameplay revolves around strengthening individual heroes, it does not require one to focus on resource management and base-building, unlike most traditional real-time strategy games. Killing computer-controlled or neutral units earns the player experience points; when enough experience is accumulated, the player gains a level. Leveling up improves the hero's toughness and the damage it can inflict, and allows players to upgrade their spells or skills. In addition to accumulating experience, players also manage a single resource: gold. heroes earn gold by killing hostile units, base structures, and enemy heroes. This has caused emphasis on a technique called "last-hitting," which is when the player attacks a hostile unit when "its hit points are low enough to kill it with one blow". Using gold, players buy items to strengthen their hero and gain abilities; certain items can be combined with recipes to create more powerful items. Buying items that suit one's hero is an important tactical element of the scenario. Item choice also effects play style, as any given item may increase one statistic (for example, attack per minute) while leaving another (damage per attack) alone.
Based on the different heroes and the item they purchased, players' roles are different during the whole game. Do the right thing in the right time will be really important during the game and that will help u to win the game. For example, in Team fight, the position of heroes is very important. The tank should be in the front of team to protect the DPS(damage per second, the one who can much damage in a short time), the magician should be in the back to spell and avoid being killed. The assassin should blink in the right time into the enemy team to try to kill the most important hero in enemy team, and then fall back...That will make the game really fun, and that's why so many people are so into it.
The balance of the game is quite good to make competition is quite awesome. There is no such an imbalance hero or item. And in every version of dota, the Editor, Icefrog, always did tiny little change to make the game more banlanced.
Summery, the Competition make the game really fun, and the kind of RPG system(level up, purchase items) make players are so into it. It's popular now, and it's an event in many game competition, such as WCG.

2930_Denise_My favor game

My favor game is Galaga. Galaga published by Namco in 1981, it was an arcade game, also a computer game. The player control a space ship (you have 3 space ships from the very beginning), the mission is to clear all the bee-like enemies (named Galaga). As the player, you only can move your space ship left or right to shoot enemies, also to avoid hitting by enemies or its bullets.
The most special part of this game is the boss Galaga will fly down, try to capture your ship by using a tractor beam. If you get caught, you will lose a life. But if the captured ship it’s not your last ship, you still have chance to get it back by shooting the boss galaga (don’t shoot at your own ship then you failed). If you have successfully got your ship back the awesome part is now you have 2 ships combined together, means that now you can shoot 2 bullets at once you’ll have wider attack range which I think is a brilliant idea, no one has done that before.
I like the feeling that you let your space ship get captured on purpose, and then you shoot very carefully try to shoot at the boss not your ship. I feel satisfied every time I success. I also like the army-badges appear on the right bottom of screen, the more level I completed the more badges I get. I think the reason why I like it is because those army-badges looks like you are some kind of war-hero, that the government honors you with those badges. Furthermore, the more badges you have the more space ship you got.
Another reason I like this game is, the game is simple, by saying simply I mean the controls is simple, you just need to push left and right arrow keys, and space bar(or Z) on keyboard, you can concentrate on shooting and dodging. The game maybe looks easy but it’s not a easy game, those “flying-bugs” sometimes really get your nerve, makes you really want to kill them. Although, it’s not a 3D game, doesn’t have fancy sound effect, doesn’t have beautiful graphic, but I still enjoy playing it.
