Facebook can be regarded as the most popular social nework service throughout the world. It was bulit on Feb 4th 2004 by Harvard’students (Mark Zucherberg and his friends).It is the first website where you can share your pictures with your friends,and everyday there are 8,500,000 pictures being upload.
Now facebook has beaten Myspace to became the first largest social network software in the world.You can share your interests , such as music,games and shows, in your profile.I like games in the facebook.
In my game list of facebook there are FarmVille,CityVille , Cupcake Corner and so on.,but I do not play them often.FarmVille and CityVille are developed by Zynga. Most games of this game company are web games,and are published in Facebook and Myspace. In the FarmVille ,you can plant vegetables，fruits，trees and you can use your harvester and combine. Also, you can allocate your equipments and stuff to any place you want. There is an avatar, and you can design the clothes for her. Besides, you can choose the eyes, mouth, and hair style. My avatar has big blue eyes, and wears a penguin clothes. As the level goes up, your farm zone will become bigger and bigger. When your level become 20, you can get a job. You can visit and help your friends’ farms. Meanwhile, you can complete up to 5 actions per visit.You can fertilize for your friends’ farms.Until 2010 March, there are 80,000,000 person playing the game.
Compared with the farmville, I prefer cityville, which was pubished in 2010 Dec 2rd. There were 290,000 person playing it when the game on_line in the first 24 hours. When the game on_line in 8 days, the number of total players were 6,000,000. The numbers had transcends FarmVille’s number.And Cityville became the faster development game in all of the games developed by Zynga company. I played a game named SimCity before. It was a famous game and was desigened in1989. Cityville was desigened on the base of SimCity, but models became very cute. In CityVille, the main task is to building houses and streets. The system will guide the player to finish all of the operation. Players just use mouse that can finish all tasks. Timer is useful and can limit player's actions in a certain period of time. In the game, different plants have different growth cycles. When players harvest crop, he will get XP, coin, goods sets or engry. XP, goods and coin are important for players.When plyers collect enough XP,they will level up. Building houses or shops needs players to spend different amount of energy. The maximum energy is 30, and every 5 mins restore 1 energy. There is a special setting that is gate. For example, if you want to build a police, the system will tell you ”Community Buildings need to be staffed with employees.Hire your friends to work in your Police.” If you want to finish this, you need to pay cash or help from your friend. This default setting increases interactions among friends to some extent, so players will invite more friends into this game. The task trees will ask players to finish some tasks, like to build a coffee shop. When the task has been finished, the system will provide some prizes. I like daily bonus which means that when you log into the game every day you will get some amount of coins. And if you help your friends’ city that will get energy, coines and hearts.
For the two games, you can share the messages such as your level up or need some help on the wall. And you can “wall publishing” to show your messages. Farmville and Cityville are the two most famous games on facebook..They both have amazing numbers of players.I like those two games, but I think cityville are more possessed of comprehensive and entertainment than Farmville.
